lyrics

Welcome to my lecture hall—
Welcome to my first class.
Profestriga Meluvor
Here to talk some straight facts.
You know the words to the trope,
All our lives we’re given hope.
All we need to do is trust
In the freedoms given us:
We can grab our boot straps—
We can lift ourselves up.
If we can’t it’s our fault—
We’re victims of laziness.

It’s a lie, and by design,
To keep our heads looking high,
To keep our eyes fully fixed
On a bauble in the sky.
They sell us on mobility—
ability to be someone—
To be the one with the gun
Against the head of someone.
If you just give enough,
Show you’re tough,
Ride the rough,
When your heart has enough
Crust to make it a husk,
You will earn your right to a sense of might.
They say you should, Schuld, Schulden, enforce!

De faire le mal pour le plaisir de le faire
De faire le mal pour le plaisir de le faire
De faire le mal pour le plaisir de le faire
De faire le mal pour le plaisir de le faire

Opportunity is the first great myth—this shit
That we see as a gift, like manna from the father—
Is little more than a prick is to a whore.
C’est mal, mais le vous adore.
They take a pound of flesh, then they sell you on the thought
That it’s payment for a debt
And you accept.
Bound bad by conscience, you take up that debt,
Cuz you think one day,
You’ll be the one to credit

De faire le mal pour le plaisir de le faire
De faire le mal pour le plaisir de le faire
De faire le mal pour le plaisir de le faire
De faire le mal pour le plaisir de le faire

You’re sold on a confounding of Nietzsche.
You’re told that you can be the
Overman, that you’re on the path—
Once your debt is paid, you can lay back,
And watch as those that are empowered will fulfill your will to power,
They’ll fulfill your instinct to freedom, to make others suffer, and you can see them!

Flense the bones, of those that can’t pay,
And you’ll be the one to say:
“It was their choice, they should have just paid, should have
Stayed the course that was laid out for them.
They should have shouldered their Schuld and paid off their Schulden!”

But this is where it’s obvious that you’re mistaken!
Nietzsche would laugh at how you’ve been hoodwinked!
How could a man that submits like this think that he’s the one?

De faire le mal pour le plaisir de le faire
De faire le mal pour le plaisir de le faire
De faire le mal pour le plaisir de le faire
De faire le mal pour le plaisir de le faire
